Labrinth<\/a> has elaborated on his recent criticism of the music industry.<\/p>\n The musician \u2013 real name Timothy Lee McKenzie \u2013 hit out at the industry, his record label and hit TV show<\/a>\u00a0Euphoria<\/em><\/a> last week, writing:\u00a0 \u201cI\u2019M DONE WITH THIS INDUSTRY,\u201d in a now-deleted Instagram post.<\/p>\n \u201cFUCK COLUMBIA. DOUBLE FUCK EUPHORIA.<\/em> I\u2019M OUT. THANK YOU AND GOOD NIGHT X,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n Now, he\u2019s added further context to his outburst, taking to Instagram yesterday (March 17) to share that he wants to \u201chave meaningful interactions\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t want to use anyone I don\u2019t want to be used,\u201d he added in the post\u2019s caption. \u201cI hope people stop acting like this is just how it\u2019s done. It doesn\u2019t have to be done that way. Fake ain\u2019t a good business plan.\u201d<\/p>\n It comes alongside an image of all caps text, where Labrinth writes: \u201cWE HOVER AROUND BIG STARS HOPING TO BE IN THEIR PLACE ONE DAY LIKE SNAKES. WAITING TO EAT THEIR OWNERS.\u201d<\/p>\n The singer continues by saying that hopeful artists who enter the music industry are turned into \u201cwolves of Wall Street\u201d and that creatives in the business will discard meaningful relationships with one another in pursuit of opportunity.<\/p>\n \u201cWHO THE FUCK SAID THIS IS NORMAL OR OK TO TURN WHAT I CALL GODS NOISE (our music) INTO BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS?,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n He closes his post, writing: \u201cI DONT SUBSCRIBE.\u201d<\/p>\n The post seems to have struck a chord with other artists, with\u00a0former Fifth Harmony<\/a> member Lauren Jauregui commenting three speaking head emojis, while Dove Cameron added:\u00a0\u201cI genuinely think about this every day\u201d, and Diplo<\/a> commented: \u201cyour the realest creative I have ever met\u201d.<\/p>\n It came after the London artist released his fourth and latest studio album, \u2018Cosmic Opera: Act I\u2019, in January via Columbia Records.<\/p>\n Labrinth made his scoring debut when\u00a0he served as the lead composer for\u00a0Euphoria<\/em><\/a>\u00a0season one on\u00a0HBO<\/a>.<\/p>\n His comments on social media today come a month before\u00a0season three premieres on April 12.\u00a0Check out the official trailer here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Last summer, it was confirmed that\u00a0Hans Zimmer would be co-composing the third season alongside Labrinth<\/a>. In a statement at the time, Labrinth said: \u201cAnother chapter in the\u00a0Euphoria<\/em>\u00a0universe! So great to join Hans, one of my heroes in film score, and bring some new magic to this new season. Love x.\u201d<\/p>\n Zimmer commented: \u201cLabrinth\u2019s music has shaped the show\u2019s identity and I\u2019m looking forward to contributing to the ongoing story and helping shape this new season through music.\u201d<\/p>\n Some of Labrinth\u2019s original songs, including \u2018Mount Everest\u2019 and \u2018All For Us\u2019, have also been featured in the teen drama. The latter cut contains\u00a0vocals from lead actor Zendaya<\/a>\u00a0(who plays Ruby \u2018Rue\u2019 Bennett).<\/p>\n He won an Emmy in the Outstanding Original Music And Lyrics category for \u2018All For Us\u2019.
