Showing he wasn\u2019t very amused, Kid Rock<\/a> slammed Conan O\u2019Brien for the joke the comedian made about him at the 2026 Oscars.<\/p>\n

During his monologue at the iconic award event, O\u2019Brien threw shade at the rocker, saying things might get political. <\/p>\n

\u201cI should warn you, tonight could get political, OK?\u201d the comedian stated. \u201cIf that makes you uncomfortable, there\u2019s an alternate Oscars being hosted by Kid Rock. It\u2019s at the Dave and Busters down the street, [and there are a] lot of tickets for that.\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Brien was referring to Kid Rock\u2019s participation in the \u201cAll-American Halftime Show,\u201d <\/a>an alternative Super Bowl halftime show by Turning Point USA. The event was created after Super Bowl organizers announced that Bad Bunny would headline the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show. <\/p>\n

Kid Rock previo<\/a>usly faced controversy over his All-American Halftime Show performance. He was accused of lip-syncing during the event. However, he had an explanation for why it may have seemed like he wasn\u2019t actually singing. <\/p>\n

\u201cMy DJ, who actually raps that song with me, was not lit up,\u201d he explained. \u201cI\u2019m jumping around the stage like a rabid monkey, rapping my song, and I\u2019m taking breaths, and my DJ is filling in the other parts of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI even told them when I saw the rough cut,\u201d he continued. \u201cI was like, \u2018You guys got to work on that sync. It\u2019s off. So it was just a syncing issue that they had, and I know they tried to get it right. It was very difficult.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kid Rock, as well as Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett, performed at the alternative halftime show. <\/p>\n

It Didn\u2019t Take Long For Kid Rock to Respond to the Joke <\/h2>\n

Less than 24 hours after the Oscars, Kid Rock took to the social media platform X<\/a> to share his thoughts about O\u2019Brien\u2019s joke. <\/p>\n

\u201cI love a good joke, even when I am the butt of it,\u201d he wrote, \u201cUnfortunately, this was not a very good one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kid Rock then used the moment to advertise for his upcoming tour, which kicks off on May 1. <\/p>\n
