Born on November 26, 1945, in Gurdon, Arkansas, Davis grew up in Little Rock, where his parents ran a local cinema. His first experience in acting came at age 11, when he appeared in a local broadcast program called Betty\u2019s Little Rascals.<\/p>\n

After graduating from Hall High School in 1964, Davis earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Arkansas Arts Center. He honed his craft with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, and spent six years with the American Conservatory Theater (Act<\/a>), where he also taught acting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
