Indie duo Widowspeak<\/a> have announced a new album, Roses<\/em>, out on June 5th via Captured Tracks. They\u2019ve also announced a 2026 North American tour along with the album\u2019s lead single, \u201cIf You Change.\u201d<\/p>\n Roses<\/em> serves as Widowspeak\u2019s seventh album and their first in four years following 2022\u2019s\u00a0The Jacket<\/a>. <\/em>The duo, comprised of married couple Molly Hamilton and Robert Earl Thomas, also welcomed their first child in between albums. The new project was inspired by the minutiae of daily life, the significance of the insignificant, and everyday rituals. They recorded Roses<\/em> at the Old Carpet Factory on the Greek island of Hydra with longtime touring members Willy Muse, John Andrews, and Noah Bond.<\/p>\n Get Widowspeak Tickets<\/a><\/p>\n They\u2019ll support\u00a0Roses\u00a0<\/em>with a 2026 North American tour running through the summer. The trek kicks off in their native New York with a show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on June 16th, followed by stops in cities like Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Raleigh, Atlanta, Nashville, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Seattle, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Denver, Salt Lake City, and many more. The run concludes with a show in Spokane, Washington on August 16th. See their tour dates below.<\/p>\n Related Video<\/p>\n Tickets for Widowspeak\u2019s 2026 tour will go on sale on Friday, March 20th at 10:00 a.m. local time; select dates will be on sale via Ticketmaster<\/a>, with the rest going on sale via Widowspeak\u2019s official website<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cIf You Change,\u201d the band\u2019s first offering from\u00a0Roses<\/em>, is a lovely return to their signature wistful, dreamy indie rock. \u201cDon\u2019t want mint condition,\u201d Hamilton sings, ruminating on her fear of change, \u201cYou\u2019re gonna get dragged in the dirt.\u201d Throughout, Thomas\u2019 jangly guitar work rings out with clarity and warmth, and it even gets a little fuzzy during the song\u2019s solo. The track also arrives with a music video starring their daughter, Peggy; she loses a Beanie Baby of a dog on the streets of Los Angeles, who then comes to life and attempts to be reunited with her (Thomas stars as the figure in the dog costume).
