Peter Frampton enlists a host of special guests for a “very special” album.<\/p>\n

Peter Frampton has kept himself busy in recent years both on the road and in the studio.<\/p>\n

But while his last few albums have been covers, reworking or instrumentals, he has now announced his first LP of newly-written songs in 16 years.<\/p>\n

Carry The Light<\/em> is Frampton’s first album of original material since 2010’s Thank You Mr. Churchill <\/em>and features a host of special guests.<\/p>\n

Helping the guitar hero out on the record are Benmont Tench, Graham Nash<\/a>, Sheryl Crow, Tom Morello, H.E.R. and Bill Evans.<\/p>\n

The album is released on May 15 and is available to pre-order<\/a> now.<\/p>\n

“This record is a very special one for me. I got to write and produce it with my son Julian, as well as work with some wonderful friends along the way,” said Frampton on Instagram.<\/p>\n

“The first song from the album, ‘Buried Treasure’ featuring @benmonttench a tribute to Tom Petty<\/a> is out now.<\/p>\n

“I hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed making it.”<\/p>\n
