Another successful incoming state visit has wrapped, with the King<\/a> and Queen<\/a> welcoming Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu to the UK.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The pinnacle of the two-day event was the state banquet at Windsor Castle<\/a> on Wednesday night, which I was invited to preview and was attended by members of the royal family including the Prince and Princess of Wales<\/a>, and the Duke of Edinburgh.<\/p>\n

The 47.32metre-long table inside St George’s Hall was decorated with seasonal flowers from the Windsor Estate and the Savill Garden, while guests dined on a meat-free menu including dishes such as fillet of turbot and lobster mousse, and an iced blackcurrant souffl\u00e9 for dessert.\u00a0<\/p>\n
