\n\tLizzo<\/a>\u2018s unreleased track \u201cDon\u2019t Make Me Love U\u201d is finally on its way, which the star announced Wednesday (March 18) on social media with a video that\u2019ll have you seeing double. <\/p>\n \n\tIn the clip<\/a>, a camera circles Lizzo as she throws it back on her doppelg\u00e4nger, who stares ahead blankly in beige spandex and stilettos. The upcoming track plays in the background while a man offscreen shouts encouragements at the star, who twerks to lyrics such as \u201cDon\u2019t make me love you if you\u2019re just gonna change your mind.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cTHE NEW NATIONAL ANTHEM \u2018DON\u2019T MAKE ME LOVE U,’\u201d Lizzo captioned the clip. \u201cTHIS FRIDAY. GET READYYYYY.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe Grammy winner previously previewed<\/a> \u201cDon\u2019t Make Me Love U\u201d while guesting on Late Night With Seth Meyers <\/em>in February, singing a few bars a cappella. She last dropped music in October, unleashing \u201cFreak Show\u201d that month. Before that, she released June mixtape My Face Hurts From Smiling<\/em>, which featured collaborations with SZA and Doja Cat.<\/p>\n \n\tLizzo had originally planned on releasing an album titled Love in Real Life<\/em>, but pivoted away from the project after singles \u201cStill Bad\u201d and \u201cLove in Real Life\u201d didn\u2019t make a splash on the Billboard Hot 100<\/a> \u2014 a chart she\u2019s previously topped with smashes \u201cTruth Hurts\u201d and \u201cAbout Damn Time.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cBy 2025, I\u2019ve changed, the world has changed so much, and so much has happened,\u201d she explained<\/a> in a September interview with Vulture<\/em>, noting that she wrote most of the shelved album in 2022. \u201cIt just wasn\u2019t what I was feeling right now.
