\n\tShinedown<\/a> have become the fourth artist to pull out of Kid Rock\u2019s MAGA-leaning \u201cRock the Country\u201d <\/a>music festival, the band announced on social media Friday.<\/p>\n \n\tThe group is the fourth artist to pull out of the festival, following Ludacris and country artists Morgan Wade and Carter Faith.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cShinedown is everyone\u2019s band,\u201d the group wrote. \u201cWe feel that we have been given a platform to bring all people together through the power of music and song,\u201d the message began. \u201cWe have one BOSS, and it is everyone in the audience. Our band\u2019s purpose is to unite, not divide. With that in mind, we have made the decision that we will not be playing the Rock the Country Festival.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWe know this decision will create differences of opinion. But we do not want to participate in something we believe will create further division,\u201d the band continued. \u201cAnd to our fans, thank you for supporting and believing in us. We love and appreciate you always.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tWhile many of the comments are critical of the band\u2019s decision \u2014 \u201cIt\u2019s a shame nobody can leave politics out of music,\u201d one wrote, which is hardly true of many artists on the bill \u2014 others are giving support.<\/p>\n \n\tLudacris pulled out of the festival just days after his appearance was announced. A rep told Rolling Stone the rapper was never intended to be on the lineup and his inclusion on the poster was a \u201cmix-up.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cLines got crossed and he wasn\u2019t supposed to be on there,\u201d the rep said.
