\n\tOn Friday (March 20), the Grammy-nominated MC dropped her new \u201cBusiness & Personal\u201d single, marking the first taste of Big Mama<\/em>, her forthcoming fourth studio album, out May 29 via Streancut and RCA Records. Bold and assertive, the new single finds Latto settling scores and addressing every rumor that\u2019s been slung her way.<\/p>\n \n\tLatto officially announced the single\u2019s release with a cinematic trailer posted to her social media pages on Thursday afternoon (March 19). \u201cI ain\u2019t go missing. I had to give y\u2019all time to miss me. Before you run the game, you gotta take baby steps to go the distance,\u201d she narrates as the camera follows her slowly strutting towards a baby cheetah \u2014 in jet-black stilettos, of course \u2014 and handing it a bottle of milk. \u201cHome to the studio, studio back home, listening to every beat [and] feeling every kick. Ever since I was a little girl, I always dreamed of having my own. Big Mama. But this time, the stakes way bigger. Now, it\u2019s on me to deliver.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe trailer\u2019s slick wordplay and motherly imagery smartly play on both Latto\u2019s Big Mama persona and the pregnancy rumors that have emerged over the past couple of months. We last heard from hip-hop\u2019s resident \u201cGeorgia Peach\u201d on last summer\u2019s \u201cSomebody,\u201d which peaked at No. 94 on the Billboard Hot 100<\/a> and will also appear on Big Mama<\/em>. In the months that followed, Latto went on a buzzy feature run that include collaborations with Nemzzz (\u201cArt\u201d), Ice Spice (\u201cGyatt\u201d), Cardi B<\/a> (\u201cErrTime\u201d remix), Summer Walker (\u201cGo Girl\u201d), 21 Savage (\u201cPop It\u201d) and Ludmilla<\/a> (\u201cBota\u201d).<\/p>\n \n\tHer last studio album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea<\/em>, arrived in 2024, reaching No. 15 on the Billboard 20<\/a>0. Notably, the star-studded set \u2014 which included the singles the Hot 100 hits \u201cBig Mama\u201d (No. 92), \u201cSunday Service\u201d (No. 100) and \u201cPut It On Da Floor\u201d (No. 13) \u2014 also debuted atop Top Rap Albums, making Latto the first solo female rapper from Atlanta to hit No. 1 on that ranking.
