{"id":2338188,"date":"2026-03-20T06:33:31","date_gmt":"2026-03-20T06:33:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2338188"},"modified":"2026-03-20T06:33:31","modified_gmt":"2026-03-20T06:33:31","slug":"prince-harry-witness-is-corrupt-police-officer-with-a-grudge-court-hears","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/prince-harry-witness-is-corrupt-police-officer-with-a-grudge-court-hears\/","title":{"rendered":"Prince Harry witness is corrupt police officer with a grudge, court hears"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div data-test=\"article-body-text\">\n<p>Mr Yanover, previously known as Jeremy Young, admitted that he believed Mr Burrows had escaped arrest and conviction in relation to their work at AIS by being an informant.<\/p>\n<p>However, he denied that he held a grudge against him. \u201cIt\u2019s an opportunity for me to tell the truth, get my side of the story out and get others held accountable,\u201d he said of his decision to give evidence.<\/p>\n<p>Mr White accused the former police officer of being a \u201cthoroughly dishonest man\u201d. \u201cHow does your pointing the finger at Gavin Burrows set any of what you did straight?\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The court heard that Yanover had originally been approached about testifying by <a target=\"_blank\" class=\"ck-custom-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2023\/06\/29\/convicted-phone-hacker-unreliable-mgn-duke-of-susses-trial\/\">Graham Johnson<\/a>, a convicted phone-hacker working for the claimants.<\/p>\n<p>Mr White alleged that the \u201clong list of individuals\u201d that Mr Johnson approached had been paid for their testimony.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Yanover insisted he had not been paid, or offered a book deal, as many other witnesses reportedly had.
