Friday remains a dangerously hot day, with highs in the upper 90s expected across the region. Extreme heat warnings and heat advisories are set to expire Friday, though some inland areas may see those warnings extended depending on how temperatures trend.<\/p>\n Saturday brings a noticeable 5 to 10-degree cooldown as the high-pressure ridge shifts away from California. That shift will allow more ocean air to push inland. Coastal areas could even see some fog Saturday night into Sunday morning. Highs Saturday will still run 15 to 20 degrees above normal, so it will still feel plenty warm \u2014 just not as oppressive as it has been.<\/p>\n Sunday continues the slow cool-down, with temperatures dropping into the 80s for many areas. The trend carries into next week, though don\u2019t expect a full return to seasonal norms just yet.
