\n City Takeover brings together Budapest\u2019s most unique locations with the international electronic music scene, offering a year-long series of events set in some of the capital\u2019s most iconic spaces. The concept is simple yet striking: well-known and distinctive venues – from historic buildings to cultural hotspots – become the backdrop for immersive music experiences.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

What\u00a0makes the City Takeover<\/strong><\/a> series stand out is that each event brings a different atmosphere and musical direction.<\/strong> Created in collaboration with various party brands and organisers, every edition has its own identity and concept, while sharing the same goal: to showcase Budapest’s most beautiful spaces from a fresh perspective.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0recent years, the City Takeover stage has welcomed some of the biggest names in international electronic music, including Joris Voorn, Alle Farben, Kungs, Dub FX, and Miss Monique. Alongside international acts, well-known figures from Hungary’s electronic music scene also regularly take the stage, strengthening the local community.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0aim of the initiative is to create events that go beyond a traditional club night, bringing together music, the urban environment, and a shared community experience.<\/p>\n

Season opener in V\u00e1rosliget: LEVI takes over on April 25<\/h2>\n

On 25\u00a0April<\/strong>, V\u00e1rosligeti M\u0171j\u00e9gp\u00e1lya will host the first City Takeover event of the season, as music takes over one of Budapest’s favourite green spaces once again. Headlining the night is LEVI, one of the most exciting emerging names on the international electronic scene.<\/p>\n

His\u00a0performances are defined by a distinctive sound, confident stage presence, and dynamically building sets that draw the audience in from the very first beat to the final drop. Giol\u00ec & Assia to perform live at Vajdahunyad Castle on April 30<\/h2>\n

You\u00a0won’t have to wait long for the next highlight, as City Takeover returns on 30 April<\/strong> with a special collaboration: together with the Be Massive Horizon team, the series brings a unique evening to Vajdahunyad Castle.<\/strong> Headlining the night is the Italian duo Giol\u00ec & Assia, known for performing electronic music not as a traditional DJ set, but as a fully live show.<\/p>\n

During\u00a0their performances, Giol\u00ec plays drums and a range of electronic instruments, while Assia complements the music with live vocals. The tracks are built on the spot, shaped through layers, effects, and improvisation, resulting in a truly unique sound alongside the striking visuals. Blending rhythm-driven electronic music with live instrumentation and vocals, their shows feel more like a concert than a traditional DJ set. Set against the historic backdrop of Vajdahunyad Castle, the evening promises a special experience where both the music and the location take centre stage.<\/p>\n
