\n\tTim McGraw<\/a> is among the new class to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame<\/a>. Marty Stuart, himself an inductee in 2020<\/a>, announced the incoming class during a press conference in Nashville on Friday morning.<\/p>\n

\n\tMcGraw, known for such hits as \u201cSomething Like That,\u201d \u201cLive Like You Were Dying,\u201d and \u201cHumble and Kind,\u201d <\/a>will be inducted in the Modern Era Artist category. The two other 2026 inductees are the Stanley Brothers, bluegrass pioneers who will be honored in the Veteran Era Artist category, and Paul Overstreet, who will be inducted in the Songwriter category.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cEverything good in my life has come from Country Music,\u201d McGraw said in a statement. \u201cFrom my best memories as a kid, to meeting my wife, to this music community, to the friendships\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0made along the way.\u00a0To\u00a0represent\u00a0Country\u00a0Music at the highest level is the greatest honor\u00a0anyone could bestow on me.\u00a0I admit,\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0imagined this moment many times through my career \u2014 worked towards it, thought of how I could be the kind of\u00a0artist who was worthy of it. But my imagination\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0do it justice.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMcGraw went on to credit his family, including wife Faith Hill, the songwriting community of Nashville, and the musicians who both played on his albums and backed him on tour.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Stanley Brothers were made up of siblings Carter and Ralph Stanley, the latter of whom had a career resurgence after his appearance in O Brother, Where Art Thou?<\/a> <\/em>singing \u201cO Death.\u201d Overstreet, meanwhile, wrote hits like \u201cOn the Other Hand\u201d for Randy Travis, \u201cWhen You Say Nothing at All\u201d for Keith Whitley, and \u201cLove Can Build a Bridge,\u201d with the Judds.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis year\u2019s class will be officially inducted in a ceremony at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum this fall.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
