Alison Hammond responds to Celebrity Traitors rumours<\/span>ITV<\/span><\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n After being on many fans’ wishlists for the second season of The Celebrity Traitors<\/a>, Alison Hammond has responded to the speculation – and it’s not good news for anyone hoping to see her in the turret. The Great British Bake Off<\/a> host was speaking to season one Traitor Jonathan Ross when she was asked outright about the rumours.<\/p>\n As it turns out, she has a very good reason for not being able to make it to the Highlands for filming later this year.<\/p>\n “I can\u2019t do it, because I\u2019m doing Bake Off,” she said on The Jonathan Ross Show, due to air tomorrow (21 March). “I think it\u2019s the same time when I\u2019m doing Bake Off, so that\u2019s a definite no.”<\/p>\n BBC<\/span><\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n Related: <\/strong>Best streaming services<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n She added: “I\u2019m so sorry, I would love to do that. I wouldn\u2019t want to be a Traitor though, I\u2019d want to be a Faithful. I don\u2019t want no stress.”<\/p>\n The presenter also spoke about the departure of Prue Leith from Bake Off, which was announced earlier this year.<\/p>\n “It\u2019s kind of bittersweet. We love Prue,” she said. “She’s incredible – she\u2019s given nine years of her time, but we also want her to go and enjoy life as well. I think she\u2019s 86 now.<\/p>\n “She\u2019s got a wonderful husband and they want to do more things. When you\u2019re doing Bake Off, your summer\u2019s gone, literally.
