Fans of country music star Trace Adkins might want to make plans to get out and see him in concert this year because it just might be his last performing.<\/p>\n
The 64-year-old didn\u2019t lock that in, but he certainly seemed to tease it in a interview earlier this year with \u201cEntertainment Tonight.\u201d The singer was asked when if he would know when to step away, and he responded, \u201cI knew 10 yeas ago. But my accountant was like, \u2018No.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Taste of Country reported<\/b><\/a> that Adkins was able to crack a smile about the accountant comment, so he certainly seems to be in a good place with the idea of winding down.<\/p>\n The outlet said that Adkins said he was \u201cjust proud to be here and glad that I\u2019ve had fans that have stuck with me all these decades.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m gonna give \u2018em another year,\u201d he said of his current tour. \u201cI do not have another 30 in me. I do not. I\u2019m gonna give \u2018em this this year. I\u2019m gonna tour hard this year. But then I can\u2019t promise anything after that.\u201d<\/p>\n If this is it for Adkins, fans in Pennsylvania will get a chance to see him at his scheduled Sept. 17 show at Lancaster\u2019s American Music Theatre.<\/p>\n Adkins has had 13 studio albums. He released his first, \u201cDreamin\u2019 Out Loud,\u201d in 1996, and his last, \u201cThe Way I Wanna Go,\u201d in 2021.
