Donald Trump had a few words to say about “great guy” Chuck Norris.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, March 19, the Walker, Texas Ranger star died at age 86, a few days after being hospitalized in Hawaii for a reported undisclosed medical emergency.<\/p>\n

Several public figures, like Texas<\/a> Governor Greg Abbott and Sylvester Stallone, rushed to pay tribute to the Hollywood star<\/a>; however, the U.S. president<\/a> was not one of them. In fact, he hadn’t heard about his passing until six hours after, once reporters had revealed the news to him just before he boarded Air Force One outside of the White House. It comes after Trump hinted at a winding down of the war in Iran while more US troops will be sent in.<\/a><\/p>\n

After learning of his death, Trump said, “Wow… Chuck Norris.. he was a great guy. He was a really good tough cookie.”<\/p>\n

He then cracked a joke, stating, “You didn’t want to fight him. I can tell you. He was a tough, great guy. He was a great supporter. That’s too bad.”<\/p>\n

Trump then asked the reporter to send his “highest respects” to his family.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Norris<\/a> was a world champion martial artist, revolutioning training before becoming a major action star in the 1980s. He contributed his talents to films like Missing in Action, The Delta Force, and Lone Wolf McQuade.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
