Meghan Markle<\/a> was mocked by fans online after a new book claimed she mentioned herself at least fifty times<\/a> during a charity speech that she allegedly \u201cf****d up\u201d after she quit the Royal Family. New extracts serialised by The Times<\/a> magazine from Tom Bower\u2019s forthcoming new book, Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family, saw the author talk about Meghan Markle\u2019s major charity speech at the One Young World Summit in 2022.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Bower alleged that organisers were left baffled after Meghan made the charity speech all about herself and allegedly said \u201cI\u201d more than fifty times in 10 minutes. The author alleges: \u201cIn the countdown to the big moment, Ella Robertson read Meghan Markle<\/a>\u2019s proposed speech on the Autocue. \u2018She\u2019s f****d it,\u2019 groaned Robertson.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cInstead of speaking as agreed about the charity One Young World, Meghan\u2019s speech was focused on herself. Nearly fifty times in just ten minutes, she intended to say \u2018I\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Several fans found the claim funny and took to social media to mock the Duchess.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

One user wrote on Reddit<\/a>: \u201cShe is so in love with herself, it’s disturbing.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Another one said: \u201cAnd the pauses for adoration! Watched [the video of Meghan\u2019s speech] without sound too, so fake.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A third one opined: \u201cWatching this without sound just shows how drunk she is on her own ego during this speech.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A fourth one added: \u201cShe was flying high during this speech. So dramatic.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A fifth one said: \u201cSo many words just to say absolutely nothing!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Sussex camp has dismissed Mr Bower\u2019s claims, with the couple\u2019s spokesperson saying: \u201cMr Bower\u2019s commentary has long crossed the line from criticism into fixation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThis is someone who has publicly stated, \u2018the monarchy in fact depends on actually obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life,\u2019 language that speaks for itself.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
