Fans of Yellowstone<\/em> have found a new love in Taylor Sheridan\u2019s latest series, The Madison<\/em>. Following its March 14 premiere on Paramount+, the show ended on a high with the arrival of its last three episodes on Saturday, which left viewers wondering where the Clyburn family will end up next. But fans are in luck\u2014a second season of The Madison<\/em> has already been ordered thanks to Sheridan and the show\u2019s star, Michelle Pfeiffer, meaning the new hit series might come back sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n

Has The Madison<\/em> season 2 started filming?<\/h2>\n

Yes! The Madison<\/em> season 2 has already wrapped its filming and production, after Paramount was convinced by Pfeiffer and Sheridan to do more than one season and shoot both installments back-to-back because of Kurt Russell\u2019s filming schedule.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did the second season of Monarch [Legacy of Monsters]<\/em>, the Apple TV+ show, and unfortunately for me, the timing was when Madison<\/em> came around,\u201d Russell said in a January 2026 interview with Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a>. \u201cAnd I said, \u2018There\u2019s just no way to do it,\u2019 because I was working on this show.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMichelle Pfeiffer and Taylor were able to get together with the people at Paramount+ and said, \u2018Well, let\u2019s do two seasons instead of just one,\u2019\u201d he added. \u201c\u2018And then before we start the second season next year, instead of doing that, we will start with Kurt\u2019s stuff. We really do want him to play the guy. And we\u2019ll get his first season out of the way first, and jam all that in there, and then go into the second season and do that.\u2019 And so we were able to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ben Schnetzer, who stars in The Madison<\/em> as Van Davis, told Woman\u2019s World<\/em><\/a> that filming for season 2 recently concluded.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe shot season 2 already,\u201d he told the outlet in an interview published March 13. \u201cWe just wrapped it not long ago, and I\u2019m incredibly excited to share both seasons with an audience. It was a real thrill to be able to come back and revisit these characters and revisit this story, and revisit this beautiful landscape that we filmed in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Who is in the cast?<\/h2>\n

The cast for season 2 has not been confirmed yet, but expect the full set of players\u2014Pfeiffer, Russell, Beau Garrett, Patrick J. Adams, Elle Chapman, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, and Rebecca Spence\u2014to return, with one exception.<\/p>\n

Matthew Fox confirmed that he will not be present in season 2 of The Madison<\/em>, telling TV Insider<\/em><\/a> on March 10, \u201cThis is a contained experience for me in the show, and I\u2019m very happy about that\u2026It\u2019s been an incredible experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

When will season 2 of The Madison <\/em>be released?<\/h2>\n

Will there be more than two seasons of The Madison<\/em>?<\/h2>\n

In a March 17 interview with The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a>, Adams revealed that he and his fellow cast members \u201cwould shoot [The Madison<\/em>] gladly forever. We\u2019ve found something kind of miraculously special here and as long as it\u2019s a story that people want to hear, we\u2019d be happy to tell it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Executive producer of the show Christina Voros added, \u201cany time you get a show together with a cast like this, you kind of want it to go forever. And I think having completed the second season, you just fall more and more in love with them as a family. What\u2019s interesting about it is that it\u2019s very much going to resonate with people who have been watching shows in the Yellowstone<\/em>-verse for a very long time, but it\u2019s also going to draw in people who would not necessarily gravitate to the more muscular and masculine action-driven content of some of Taylor\u2019s bigger shows like Yellowstone<\/em> or Lioness<\/em>. It is a simpler story in many ways on the surface, but infinitely more complicated, emotionally, underneath it. There are an abundance of river references to be made when describing The Madison<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n
