Yellowstone<\/em> universe as a director.<\/p>\n\u201cI was halfway through shooting on Marshals<\/em>, and Glasser was like, \u2018Hey, you\u2019ve done the down and dirty, scrappy version of Yellowstone<\/em>. Come do our other show,\u2019\u201d Greg shared in the interview. \u201cThat was a completely different, but equally rewarding experience. I loved Kelly and Cole and Annette [Bening] and Ed [Harris] and everybody. That cast is just so terrific.\u201d<\/p>\n\nWhere Marshals<\/em> is a hard-hitting, neo-Western take on the fan-favorite primetime police procedural, Greg says that Dutton Ranch<\/em> is \u201cmuch more of a drama and a soap. It has the best parts of what I loved about Yellowstone<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\nAnd that seems to be the consensus across the board from folks who have actually worked on the series. \u201cA lot of the people involved with Dutton Ranch<\/em> really felt like they were making Yellowstone<\/em> Season 6,\u201d Greg revealed. \u201cMarshals<\/em> is much more genre and guns-forward, and those kinds of cool things.\u201d<\/p>\nThe way Greg sees it, the common ground between the two spin-offs is ranch life. Both series feature scenes on the ranch, while ultimately showcasing how each of the Dutton siblings is nurturing their family history alongside navigating their grief and life post-tragedy. Because of this, it\u2019s not out of the question that a crossover could happen. \u201cI feel like Kayce should go to Dutton Ranch<\/em>,\u201d he said in the interview. \u201cThat feels like something that I would lose my shit over as a fan. That would be pretty cool. I just don\u2019t know, in the world of what Marshals<\/em> is, if Beth coming in would fit into that quite as well.\u201d<\/p>\nEither way, we\u2019re just thrilled to know a continuation of the most popular series on TV is on its way. Now, if we could only get a proper premiere date to mark on our calendars.<\/p>\n\n<\/section>\n\n
