It seems as if people just thrive<\/em> as soon as they’re out of the As I Lay Dying<\/strong> environment and its consistent drama<\/a> \u2013 as ex-guitarist Nick Hipa<\/strong><\/a> is proving with his current project, Mire<\/strong>. <\/p>\n Their newest single, “The Master” features a rather crispy solo from Hipa<\/strong> himself and he’s accompanied by vocalist Benton<\/strong>\u00a0McKibben<\/strong>, bassist\/guitarist\u00a0Ryan<\/strong>\u00a0Glisan<\/strong>\u00a0(ex-Allegaeon<\/strong>), and drummer\u00a0JP<\/strong>\u00a0Andrade<\/strong> through an intense, trudging track.<\/p>\n Their forthcoming record, Pale Reflection<\/em>, will be out on April 10th, and it’ll be the first\u00a0Mire<\/strong>\u00a0record with this lineup. Hipa<\/strong> previously described<\/a> in the album announcement that he was \u201cstoked to finally release some new @thebandmire<\/strong>\u00a0music! The best time to drop new tunes was actually in 2023 when we had the whole record written, the second best time was in 2024 after we finally found the time to track it.
