Longer spring days bring more time for artists to explore and create. Across South Florida this month, events such as Miami Music Week arise to satisfy those musical palates.<\/p>\n

Luckily, Pembroke Pines residents won\u2019t have to travel far to find their own dose of community and creative renewal this week.<\/p>\n

Residents should also take note of the city\u2019s preventative maintenance chlorination<\/a> of the water distribution system that begins on Sunday, March 22, until April 12. Tap water lovers could notice a difference in their water\u2019s taste, smell or appearance, according to city officials.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Funny in Pink presents \u201cWomen in Arts\u201d<\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

Funny in Pink, an all-women\u2019s stand-up group, will be taking center stage at Baoshi Food Hall + Bar on Tuesday, March 24, from 8 to 10 p.m.<\/p>\n

Tickets<\/a> for the showcase start at $7.68. The event will also celebrate International Women\u2019s Month during March.<\/p>\n

TWICE K-Pop Party<\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

Also taking place at Baoshi Food Hall + Bar, the restaurant will host a free TWICE K-Pop<\/a>-themed party on Wednesday, March 25, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The event promises a high-energy night playing all the best hits and electric performances from the South Korean girl group.<\/p>\n

There will also be themed drinks and a dance floor for dance lovers. Guests are encouraged to dress in their best pink.<\/p>\n

\u201cBroadway Bound\u201d Performances<\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

The Pembroke Pines Theatre of the Performing Arts began its spring production of \u201cBroadway Bound\u201d by Neil Simon on Friday, March 20, at the Susan B. Katz Theater of the Performing Arts.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Tickets<\/a> are $40 for adults and $30 for students and seniors. During the weekend, PPTOPA will stage four performances: Friday, March 27, at 8 p.m., Saturday, March 28, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and a closing matinee show on Sunday, March 29.<\/p>\n

Currently, the box office is running two specials for ticket prices. For those who wish to purchase online, putting in the code \u201cSpecial,\u201d will get you $5 off your ticket. The other is to let the box office choose your seat for $25 in cash.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The show\u2019s run time is about two and a half hours. Set in 1940s New York City, the comedy-drama follows brothers Eugene and Stanley Jerome as they try to break into comedy writing while coping with family drama at home.<\/p>\n
