A GoFundMe page<\/a> claiming to support NHL reporter Jessi Pierce<\/strong>\u2019s family following the sudden deaths of her and her three kids has raised over $65,000.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of Jessi Hinrichs (Pierce), her three children, and their family dog,\u201d the fundraiser reads. \u201cJessi had a larger-than-life personality and an even bigger heart. She was devoted to her family, going above and beyond to create many moments of joy and everlasting memories.\u201d<\/p>\n

News broke on Sunday, March 22, that Pierce had died in a Minnesota house fire<\/a> at age 37. Her three children and their family dog also died. The family is survived by Pierce\u2019s husband, Mike Hinrichs<\/strong>, whom the GoFundMe page is said to be raising money for.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe children, each with their own unique personalities, shared Jessi\u2019s zest for life and love for adventure. They leave behind Mike, husband to Jessi and loving father of their children, who is now experiencing an unimaginably difficult time,\u201d the fundraiser\u2019s description continues. \u201cWe are raising funds to cover funeral expenses and to provide financial support for the family during this period of grief. The GoFundMe page was set up by someone named Diana Johnson-Salvador<\/strong>. However, their connection to Pierce and her family is currently unknown.<\/p>\n

The NHL confirmed Pierce\u2019s death in a statement on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe entire National Hockey League family sends our prayers and deepest condolences to the Pierce family on the passing of Jessi Pierce and her three young children,\u201d the statement read. \u201cJessi loved our game and was a valued member of the NHL.com team for a decade. We will miss her terribly.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fire that killed Pierce and her family took place on Saturday, March 22. Minnesota firefighters responded to a residential structure fire at around 5:25 a.m. that morning, White Bear Lake Fire Department Fire Chief Greg Peterson<\/strong> confirmed.<\/p>\n
