Kata Hay, a country music singer who gained fame as a contestant on \u201cThe Voice,\u201d was arrested in Tennessee back in December and charged with vehicular homicide.<\/p>\n
Hay, whose real name is Kata Huddleston, was taken into custody after the Goodlettsville Police Department put out a BOLO for her.<\/p>\n
She was extradited back to Nashville on Jan. 11, and that was the last real update in her case.<\/p>\n
The Goodlettsville Police Department\u2019s BOLO in December said the singer, who is now 39, had \u201coutstanding warrants for vehicular homicide in connection with a motor vehicle crash on Long Hollow Pike near I-65.\u201d<\/p>\n
The police said at the time that they \u201chad reason to believe she may be enroute to Oklahoma and traveling with a white male and quite possibly towing a large camper.\u201d<\/p>\n
Goodlettsville Police followed up with a post on Dec. 17 announcing that Huddleston had been arrested in Oklahoma and was being extradited back to Davidson Country.<\/p>\n
Whiskey Riff said<\/b><\/a> this is the latest in a string of troubling incidents for Huddleston.<\/p>\n The outlet said she is also facing a DUI charge and a charge of leaving the scene of an accident over $1,500 in damage and open container. Huddleston was also on probation for a 2017 DUI in Nashville, according to Whiskey Riff.<\/p>\n And, according to WKRN, the singer was sentenced to six months in jail after pleading guilty to having sexual contact with a minor.<\/p>\n Huddleston made it onto \u201cThe Voice\u201d for its 10th<\/sup> season.
