Actor Jason Momoa revealed that he and his family had to evacuate their home amid devastating floods in Hawaii<\/a>.<\/p>\n The “Aquaman” and “Dune” star said his family lost power in O’ahu’s North Shore<\/a>, which experienced landslides and downed trees during the severe rainstorm.<\/p>\n “I got my family with me,” Momoa said in\u00a0an Instagram Story on Saturday<\/a>. “We got out of the North Shore \u2026 our power went off.”<\/p>\n While Momoa confirmed that he and his family were safe, he said his thoughts are with those who were caught up in the storm.<\/p>\n “There\u2019s a lot of people who weren\u2019t (safe), so we\u2019re sending our love,” he said.<\/p>\n The storm forced the evacuation of 5,500 people north of Honolulu over the weekend and more than 200 people were rescued, as Hawaii experienced its worst flooding in more than 20 years. No deaths were reported and no one was unaccounted for. <\/p>\n Officials sent out an emergency alert Saturday morning to warn those in O’ahu’s North Shore community to evacuate. Evacuation orders were later lifted<\/a> once the winter storm moved east.<\/p>\n Hawaii Gov. Josh Green said the damages from the storms could surpass $1 billion, with airports, schools, roads, homes and a Maui hospital among the impacted areas.<\/p>\n
