Because of this, the gossip blogger, 47, \u201cdeveloped an ulcer and then a perforation and then sepsis.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople die of sepsis,\u201d he tearfully continued. \u201cThe day before I was hospitalized, I was in so much stomach pain. I was like \u2018This is weird, but it\u2019ll go away.’\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cThe first few days were a lot of pain and constant tests, X-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, because they couldn\u2019t find where the perforation was. So that was scary.\u201d<\/p>\n
After five days, he had laparoscopic surgery to \u201cflip around all of [his] organs\u201d trying to find the perforation, followed by another major procedure because his organs were still infected. <\/p>\n
\u201cThey inserted I don\u2019t know what inside of me and drained a ton more infection out of me and then the sepsis just kept working and my body kept falling apart. My heart got out of control, they had to put me on heart medications. And then, I developed another infection in the hospital.\u201d<\/p>\nDuring his hospital stay, Hilton underwent several major procedures because his organs were infected. theperezhilton\/instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nHe was also only able to eat through a feeding tube. theperezhilton\/instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nHilton said that over the two weeks in the hospital he could only eat through a feeding tube.<\/p>\n
\u201cIsn\u2019t that crazy? \u2018Cause I love food,\u201d he joked. \u201cEverything was through IV.\u201d<\/p>\n
Once he was able to start eating regularly again, it was a \u201cwhole other process\u201d because it can be \u201chard on the body\u201d as well as \u201chumiliating\u201d because he was having \u201ca lot of accidents.\u201d<\/p>\nEven out of the hospital, Hilton explained that he is \u201cnot 100 percent,\u201d showing a pick line into his arm. theperezhilton\/instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nThe journalist is going to use the health scare as a learning lesson and promised to slow down his lifestyle. theperezhilton\/instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\u201cI felt so humiliated and sad and bad to have to keep calling [the nurse] because I kept having accidents in the bed. But she was so kind and patient,\u201d he praised. \u201cIt was just such a slow process. Two weeks of just sickness and then another week of getting better before I was released.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cNow that I am home, I am not 100 percent,\u201d he noted, showing a pick line into his arm. \u201cIt\u2019s like a scary IV with two lines, and one goes to my heart.\u201d<\/p>\n
