There\u2019s a whole lot of booming going on in J. Cole\u2019<\/a>s recent Apple Music<\/a> interview with Nadeska Alexis<\/a>.<\/p>\n The interview, as previously reported<\/a>, spans more than an hour and finds Cole conceding that he\u2019s \u201ckind of nervous\u201d about sitting down for what marks his first formal interview in \u201cmad long.\u201d<\/p>\n Upon the interview\u2019s release on Friday (March 20), fans were quick to devour it, leading to nearly 600,000 views on YouTube as of this writing. Some viewers were just as quick to highlight Cole\u2019s fondness for the word \u201cboom,\u201d most significantly doubled and tripled versions (namely \u201cboom-boom-boom\u201d), leading to the vaguely mathematically concerned article you\u2019re reading right now.<\/p>\n By Complex\u2019s very rough estimation, there are at least 17 instances of this fondness for booming in action. That number increases significantly, of course, if you were to count every individual instance of \u201cboom\u201d instead of simply grouping together each \u201cboom-boom\u201d or \u201cboom-boom-boom\u201d as a single example.<\/p>\n Naturally, a fan was kind enough to edit together a sampling of Cole\u2019s Apple Music-delivered booms, ultimately earning a laugh from Dreamville<\/a> co-founder Ibrahim Hamad.<\/p>\n Watch the full interview below.<\/p>\n Cole\u2019s The Fall-Off<\/em><\/a>, a double album, arrived in February.
