Prince Harry<\/a> and Meghan Markle<\/a> are making a new project for Netflix, and it\u2019s about a cause close to their heart, it has been reported. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will executive-produce a \u201cpolo-themed\u201d drama series for the streaming giant, two years after Harry\u2019s Polo documentary.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Deadline<\/a> reports that the series is currently untitled, but will be set in the \u201chigh-flying equestrian town\u201d of Wellington, Florida. Harry and Meghan\u2019s new project will be co-produced by Archewell Productions and Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage\u2019s Fake Empire. It will be written by Teacup\u2019s Francisca X. Hu, who will also serve as an exec-producer alongside the Sussex couple and and head of scripted content Tracy Ryerson, and Fake Empire\u2019s Schwartz and Savage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to reports, the new drama is \u201cwidening the scope of what is considered an elitist \u2018sport of kings\u2019 beyond the rich owners and players\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It comes after Netflix<\/a> recently pulled out as an investor from Meghan\u2019s lifestyle brand, As Ever.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The relationship between the two camps was at the centre of discussions recently.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

But a Netflix chief set the record straight on whether the streamer is \u201cdone\u201d with Harry and Meghan last weekend.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Chief content officer Bela Bajaria told Deadline during a Next on Netflix event: \u201cWe still have a relationship with them. We have movies in development with them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe have an amazing doc with them. They have things in development on the TV and film side. Deals come and go all the time, and we don\u2019t renew so many deals, those just don\u2019t get as much press for obvious reasons. There\u2019s no juicy story there.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
