After being open about her health ups and downs over the years, Maria Menounos<\/a> is now opening up about her \u201chealing journey.\u201d<\/p>\n Menounos took to Instagram<\/a> on Monday, March 23, to share how she\u2019s prioritized healing after years of health struggles. \u201cYou can\u2019t heal in the environment that got you sick. Let me explain\u2026\u201d she wrote in the post\u2019s first slide.<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cI\u2019ve learned this the hard way\u2026 Brain tumor. Neuroendocrine tumor. Type 1 Diabetes. Infertility. I wish health had been this important to me before it became necessary\u2026 but here we are.\u201d<\/p>\n Menounos noted that she spent years trying to do the \u201cright\u201d things to help her healing, but still felt \u201cstuck, frustrated, and confused about what my body needed.\u201d It wasn\u2019t until she began \u201cchanging [her] environment\u201d that she began to see positive results.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I went near the equator for the first time something kind of unbelievable happened\u2026\u201d she wrote. \u201cIn the Dominican Republic, I shrunk liver lesions in just 2 \u00bd weeks. Lesions they were worried could be cancer. That was my first wake-up call. Then in El Salvador, I was dealing with extreme hot flashes and blood sugar in the 200s. Within 24 hours, the hot flashes were gone. Within days\u2026 my blood sugar shifted, my digestion changed, my nervous system finally calmed down.\u201d<\/p>\n Menounos said what her body needed was to be in a \u201cdifferent environment,\u201d adding, \u201cBecause when you\u2019re in the same place, your body stays in the same patterns and never gets the signal that it\u2019s safe to heal.\u201d<\/p>\n On the post\u2019s final slide, she wrote, \u201cMaybe your body just needs a different environment to feel safe again. You don\u2019t have to go far, you don\u2019t have to go to the equator. Start small: Step outside, Take a day away, Change your space, even a little. Even a small shift can change everything.\u201d<\/p>\n In the post\u2019s caption, Menounos clarified, \u201cAnd I know\u2026 it\u2019s not always realistic to just leave your life, book a trip, or go somewhere far away. I get that. But what is possible is starting small. Finding moments where you step out of the same routine, the same stress, the same environment your body has been navigating for so long.\u201d<\/p>\n The TV personality had faced several health challenges over the years, including a brain tumor in 2017 and being diagnosed with a rare form of pancreatic cancer in 2023. (She was declared cancer-free that same year.)<\/p>\n Fans reacted to Menounos\u2019s healing comments in the post\u2019s comments, as well as shared how they related to her words. \u201cSo true!
