<\/p><\/div> Fans streamed into the stadium before Game 3 of the American League Division Series on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.<\/p>\n Tljungblad@kcstar.com<\/span><\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n <\/p>\n Royals fans who attended a game at Kauffman Stadium during the 2025 season took home roughly $800,000.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n That was the prize money awarded from the Royals\u2019 50\/50 Raffle, which means the same amount went to the Kansas City Royals Foundation. There were 13 winners \u2014 one for each homestand \u2014 and the prizes ranged from $29,083 to $104,943<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Cullen Maxey, the Royals\u2019 president of business operations, said the plan is to have the 50\/50 Raffle at all 81 home games.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cWe are going to do everything we can to continue to grow our opportunity to give back to the community in the ways it\u2019s most needed,\u201d Maxey said earlier this year. \u201cOne of our largest opportunities to do that is our 50\/50 Raffle, which obviously we give our fans a chance to be a part of. We are going to expand that this year, where we give away a jackpot every single night.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cSo rather than 13 opportunities over the year, because it was done at the end of a homestand, the opportunity will be every single night we will give away a jackpot.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Maxey\u2019s hope is the raffle will give Royals fans a little something extra to enjoy when at Kauffman Stadium.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Plus, Maxey said the charitable benefit is important.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cIt just allows everyone to have some fun,\u201d Maxey said. \u201cWith our bigger crowds, you\u2019ll see it grow to levels that will be pretty exciting. And when it\u2019s a smaller jackpot on any given night, that\u2019s fine. I guess that means your chances of winning just went up a little bit. But it\u2019s fun. I\u2019ve seen it firsthand to be able to hand out something every single night and really engage the fan base.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cAnd what we want to do is it hopefully grows our total giving as well, because that\u2019s obviously why we do it.\u201c<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
