LAFAYETTE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) \u2014 The Syracuse International Jazz Fest is hitting a new note this year for its 40th anniversary.<\/p>\n

The event is moving to Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards in LaFayette this summer, Frank Malfitano, the festival\u2019s founder, told NewsChannel 9 | LocalSYR.com.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had an invitation from Beak & Skiff that we couldn\u2019t resist,\u201d said Malfitano.<\/p>\n

With a new location, comes a new lineup to match.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got a group coming in from London that\u2019s amazing. We got another group coming in from New Orleans that\u2019s amazing, and we have some returning people coming in, Trombone Shorty, Good Hill Carly, Nathan & The Zydeco Cha Chas and Tower of Power from Oakland,\u201d said Malfitano.<\/p>\n

The festival is also getting a new spot on the calendar, moving to July 9 through July 12.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything is really new this year. It\u2019s an all new look for us and we\u2019re really excited about it,\u201d said Malfitano.<\/p>\n

Eddie Brennan, president of Beak & Skiff, said the orchard\u2019s concert venue has seen just about every genre, but jazz will take center stage for the first time.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s going to bring a different customer up to the farm, it\u2019s going to be amazing to see the energy that that brings,\u201d said Brennan.<\/p>\n
