NEW YORK \u2212 Alison Brie<\/a> is ready to show her dark side.<\/p>\nThe actress and producer<\/a> rose to fame on the quirky NBC sitcom “Community,” starring as Annie Edison opposite actors like Joel McHale and Donald Glover. Now, she’s ready for a hard pivot, playing Evil-Lyn, supervillain Skeletor’s right-hand woman in “Masters of the Universe.”<\/p>\n“I was really excited to get to play a supervillain,” she says. “I watched a bunch of the old cartoon and she really is like a classic femme fatale character, but with a sense of humor. Just unlike anything I’ve ever really done.”<\/p>\n
“A lot of the work that I’ve done, everything is about reality,” Brie says. In “Masters,” she adds, “The whole point is that everybody is larger than life\u2014some people physically, this character more just in her evilness. It was so fun to work on, and the cast is great.”<\/p>\n
The cast features up-and-comers and established A-listers, including Jared Leto, Idris Elba, Camila Mendes and Nicholas Galitzine.<\/p>\n
