Many of the Today <\/i><\/a>show anchors haven\u2019t contacted Savannah Guthrie <\/b><\/a>amid her on-air hiatus following her mom Nancy Guthrie<\/b><\/a>\u2019s continued disappearance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if people realize, none of us have had much correspondence with her over this whole 54-day ordeal,\u201d Carson Daly <\/b><\/a>said during the Thursday, March 26, broadcast. \u201cSo as we\u2019re watching this with the world, we\u2019re learning and unpacking so much about our dear friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cIt\u2019s hard to process here [on] live TV in the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Savannah, 54, took a step back from her Today <\/i>duties last month after Nancy, 84, was reported missing in Arizona. She sat down with Hoda Kotb <\/b>for an emotional interview<\/span><\/a>, which began airing on Wednesday, March 25, and continued on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said, \u2018Do you think [it was] because of me?\u2019\u201d Savannah recalled of a conversation with her brother, Camron<\/b>, who previously worked in military intelligence. \u201cHe said, \u2018I\u2019m sorry, sweetie, but yeah, maybe.\u2019 I knew that. I hope not. I mean, we still don\u2019t know. Honestly, we don\u2019t know anything. We don\u2019t know anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Savannah, it\u2019s been \u201ctoo much to bear\u201d<\/a> thinking that she was responsible for mom\u2019s possible kidnapping.<\/p>\n

\u201c[If] it\u2019s because of me, I have to say I\u2019m so sorry, Mommy. I\u2019m so sorry,\u201d the TV journalist tearfully added. \u201cI\u2019m sorry to my sister and my brother and my kids and my nephew and Tommy, my brother-in-law. I\u2019m so sorry, I\u2019m so sorry. If it is me, I\u2019m so sorry, I\u2019m so sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nearly one month after Nancy was first reported missing, police are still investigating her whereabouts. As for Savannah, she\u2019s been leaning on her faith to get through the tragedy.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe timeline for Savannah Guthrie\u2019s return to the Today show is still unknown, contrary to a recent report. \u201cThere is no announcement regarding Savannah\u2019s return date,\u201d a Today source told Us Weekly exclusively on Monday, March 23. (Page Six previously reported that Savannah could return to the show next month.) Questions about Savannah, 54, reclaiming [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cMy faith is strong and resolute<\/span><\/a>,\u201d Savannah said on Thursday. \u201cI early on felt \u2014 and I heard for one of the very few times in my life \u2014 I did hear God speak to me. As I said to myself, \u2018I can handle anything, God. I can handle anything, I just can\u2019t handle not knowing. I have to know.\u2019 I heard a voice and it said, \u2018You do know where she is \u2014 she\u2019s with me.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

While Savannah and her siblings weren\u2019t sure whether Nancy was \u201con this earth still\u201d or \u201cin heaven,\u201d\u00a0 they want to make peace.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to know,\u201d she stated, later adding, \u201cSomeone needs to do the right thing. We are in agony. It is unbearable. And to think of what she went through. I wake up every night in the middle of the night. Every night. And in the darkness, I imagine her terror. And it is unthinkable. She needs to come home now.\u201d<\/p>\n
