Savannah Guthrie<\/strong><\/a> is breaking down the moment she learned her mom, Nancy Guthrie<\/strong>, had disappeared<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The news anchor, 54, opened up about the harrowing day during an interview<\/a> with Hoda Kotb<\/strong> that aired on the Thursday, March 26, episode of the Today<\/em> show. She noted that her husband, Michael Feldman<\/strong>, had been away with friends, so she\u2019d gone over to Today<\/em> colleague Carson Daly<\/strong>\u2019s house with her kids.<\/p>\n

On the morning of February 1, Savannah\u2019s sister, Annie<\/strong>, called to tell her that Nancy, 84, had gone missing.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe said, \u2018She\u2019s gone,\u2019\u201d Savannah recalled. \u201cShe was in a panic. I was in a panic. I\u2019m like, \u2018Call 911.\u2019 She\u2019s like. \u2018I did. We called them. They\u2019re here.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSavannah Guthrie will share more insight into the disappearance of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, in a new interview more than 50 days after the 84-year-old went missing. During the Wednesday, March 25, episode of the Today show, host Craig Melvin introduced a clip from Savannah\u2019s upcoming sit-down with Hoda Kotb, marking her first interview about [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Savannah and her siblings initially thought that Nancy had \u201csome kind of medical episode in the night and that somehow the paramedics had come\u201d because the back doors of the house were propped open.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat didn\u2019t make any sense,\u201d she explained. \u201cWe thought maybe they came and there\u2019s a stretcher and they took her out the back, but her phone was there and her purse was there and all her things. And it just didn\u2019t make any sense.\u201d<\/p>\n

Annie and her husband, Tommaso Cioni<\/strong>, \u201chad already called all the hospitals\u201d to check whether Nancy was being treated in one, but Savannah decided to call too.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was just chaos and disbelief,\u201d she recalled, noting that she and her siblings just hugged each other once they all reunited in Arizona. \u201cFrom the very early moments, Annie and Tommy were saying [to authorities], \u2018This isn\u2019t a case that you are used to where someone wanders off. She can\u2019t wander off.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSavannah Guthrie shut down rumors accusing her sister and brother-in-law of being involved in kidnapping her mother, Nancy Guthrie. \u201c[The FBI video was] just absolutely terrifying. It\u2019s just totally terrifying,\u201d Savannah, 54, said while addressing footage of the potential subject during an emotional sit-down with Today\u2019s Hoda Kotb, which aired on Thursday, March 26. \u201cI [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Savannah went on to note that Nancy \u201cwas in tremendous pain\u201d because of problems with her back, which meant she almost certainly couldn\u2019t have left her home by herself.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer back was very bad,\u201d she explained. \u201cOn a good day, she could walk down to the mailbox and get the mail, but most days not, so there was no \u2018wander off.\u2019 And the doors were propped open, and there was blood on the front doorstep. The Ring camera had been yanked off. And so we were saying, \u2018This is not OK. This isn\u2019t \u2014 something is very wrong here.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Savannah and her family reported Nancy missing on February 1. She was last seen the night prior after having dinner with Annie and her family.<\/p>\n
