If you think traffic is bad enough during Miami Music Week<\/a> and Ultra Music Festival<\/a>, just wait: it is going to get a lot worse.<\/p>\n When the first day of Ultra kicks off on Friday at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami, President Donald Trump will be at the Faena Hotel and Forum<\/a> delivering the closing address of the Saudi Arabia-backed Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute Priority Summit<\/a>. Both events will cause major traffic impacts and road closures for drivers in and around Miami Beach and downtown Miami.<\/p>\n The Miami Beach Police Department says drivers on Friday may experience traffic impacts in Mid Beach as early as 9 a.m. with \u201cintermittent and extended\u201d road closures between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. <\/p>\n \u201cMotorists are encouraged to plan ahead and consider alternate routes, including the MacArthur Causeway or the 79th Street Causeway,\u201d the department posted on Instagram. \u201cThese closures will primarily impact residents entering the city, and motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly.\u201d<\/p>\n Parking will be restricted between 30th and 42nd streets from 10 p.m. on Thursday until 7 p.m. on Friday. Additionally, the P56 parking lot at 3401 Collins Avenue and P57 parking lot at 3501 Collins Avenue will be closed all day Friday. <\/p>\n Miami Beach Police also said in a press release that large vehicles, including delivery trucks, will not be permitted to travel along Collins Avenue and the Indian Creek corridor between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday. They will be rerouted at 23rd Street and 41st Street. <\/p>\n Detours for Ultra will begin on Thursday at 9 p.m. and remain in effect until Monday at 7 a.m, the Miami Police Department announced on Wednesday. <\/p>\n Biscayne Boulevard northbound traffic will be rerouted to the southbound lanes at SE 1st Street. Biscayne Boulevard southbound traffic will be routed westbound at NE 6th Street, with the option to continue southbound on NE 2nd Avenue or North Miami Avenue. There will be no southbound traffic on Biscayne Boulevard from NE 6th Street. <\/p>\n Miami Police says PortMiami will still be accessible via NE 5th Street. <\/p>\n \u201cIt is recommended that motorists utilize the Port of Miami tunnel, accessible from I-395, to avoid congestion,\u201d the department posted on X<\/a>, the platform formerly known as Twitter. <\/p>\n
