Savannah sat down with Hoda Kotb<\/a> for the first of a two-part interview<\/a> on the Thursday, March 26, episode of Today<\/a><\/em>, during which she admitted to feeling guilty for potentially being the reason her mother was taken<\/a> from her Tucson, Arizona, home. (Nancy was last seen on January 31 and was reported missing the following day.)<\/p>\n \u201cTo think that I brought this to her bedside, that it\u2019s because of me \u2014 and I just say, \u2018I\u2019m so sorry, Mommy. I\u2019m so sorry,\u201d Savannah tearfully told Kotb. \u201cI\u2019m sorry to my sister [Annie Guthrie<\/a>] and my brother [Camron Guthrie], and my kids and my nephew, and Tommy [Cioni]<\/a>, my brother-in-law.\u2019 I\u2019m just, like, so sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n On Thursday\u2019s episode of The View<\/em>, Whoopi Goldberg<\/a> said Savannah and Kotb\u2019s conversation was one of \u201cthe hardest interviews I think I\u2019ve ever seen.\u201d She stated, \u201cTo have a family member just up and disappear \u2014 I mean, any one of us, I think, would be out of our minds. I know they don\u2019t want this story to go away, because we get so much to talk about a daily basis. \u2026 But this is a story we all have to remember is still ongoing, and we have to be vigilant and keep our eyes open, I think.\u201d<\/p>\n Sara Haines<\/a>, who previously worked with Savannah on Today<\/em>, said she reached out to Savannah after Nancy was reported missing. \u201cWhat just kills me is you see a little girl whenever you see her face, and every pain and emotion is something that\u2019s so relatable,\u201d she said of the interview. \u201cBut I hope she knows that her mom would never ever want her to think any of those thoughts. I can almost hear a mom saying, \u2018Please, don\u2019t do that.\u2019 That\u2019s the one thing that could break her. It would break her mom\u2019s heart to know how much pain she\u2019s going through, so I hope she can find a little strength through that.\u201d<\/p>\n ABC<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Guest host Abby Huntsman<\/a> stated, \u201cIt makes you want to go hug your mom,\u201d to which Haines replied, \u201cIt makes me want to hug Nancy Guthrie.\u201d<\/p>\n Huntsman, for her part, previously crossed paths with Savannah on MSNBC. \u201cShe never wants the story to be about her. That\u2019s not her brand,\u201d she recalled of working with the Today<\/em> anchor. \u201cAnd so, she\u2019s handled this with such grace and such realness.\u201d<\/p>\n While Sunny Hostin<\/a> said she doesn\u2019t have confidence in FBI Director Kash Patel<\/a>, she does have faith in the FBI agents investigating Nancy\u2019s disappearance. \u201cI\u2019ve worked with FBI agents for 10 years during my career at the Justice Department, and those are the best of the best,\u201d she declared. \u201cAnd so, if anyone can find her mother, they can.\u201d<\/p>\n
