Dollywood has hit the ground running for the start of its 41st season<\/a> \u2013 literally.<\/p>\n\n

The theme park is gearing up for its first-ever race weekend.<\/a> But even while counting down until the spring event, Dollywood has announced dates for a second Run Dollywood race weekend, this one in the fall.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m an avid runner myself,\u201d Dollywood President Eugene Naughton said in a news release. \u201cWe can\u2019t wait for everyone to experience this one-of-a-kind course, complete with live music, on-course entertainment, and those special Dollywood surprises that make every step memorable.\u201d<\/p>\n

The spring race lineup includes the marquee half-marathon, plus companion races.<\/p>\n

The race events are part of the park\u2019s efforts to expand guest experiences at Dollywood<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Can you still sign up for Dollywood\u2019s spring marathon?<\/h2>\n

An \u201cextremely limited number of race entries\u201d are still available for the half-marathon, according to Dollywood. Registration for the one-mile kids\u2019 run is still available, too.<\/p>\n

The inaugural Run Dollywood race weekend is April 25-26. The course will take runners through Wildwood Grove, Craftsman\u2019s Valley, Timber Canyon and other scenic routes.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The main event is a half-marathon the morning of April 26. Companion events including 5K and 10K races and the one-mile race for kids are on the morning of April 25.<\/p>\n\n

Fees for remaining event entries range from $27.50 to $197.10 as of March 26. Registration is open now at dollywood.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When is Dollywood\u2019s fall marathon?<\/h2>\n

The newly announced fall race weekend is Sept. 26-27. The fall race will be during the park\u2019s popular Harvest Festival.<\/p>\n

Details are being finalized, and registration information will be available soon at Dollywood.com\/RunDollywood<\/a>. Interested runners can fill out a form<\/a> on the Run Dollywood page to receive information and updates via email.<\/p>\n\n
