Ransom Canyon<\/strong> star Josh Duhamel<\/strong> has said that he has strong opinions about politics but prefers not to express them publicly. In a recent podcast appearance, the actor said his approach is influenced by his commitment to his audience.<\/p>\n Josh Duhamel<\/a>, who rose to prominence playing Leo du Pres on the ABC daytime soap opera All My Children, spoke about his political stance during a conversation with Megyn Kelly<\/a> on her podcast.<\/p>\n The actor said that he keeps his political views to himself and suggested that other actors could consider doing the same. \u201cI have real strong opinions about things but I don\u2019t really talk about it because it\u2019s like, \u2018Why would I alienate half my audience?\u2019 Because I respect their views on things but I\u2019m not going to preach to them,\u201d the actor said to the host.<\/p>\n Kelly pointed out that more celebrities appear to be choosing not to publicly share their political views as the country becomes more divided on the issue. Duhamel responded that \u201cit makes perfect sense\u201d to focus on acting and keep politics separate.<\/p>\n Speaking about celebrities who are vocal about their opinions, Duhamel said, \u201cIf you really want to be successful in this business, why would you make half of your audience despise you by your beliefs? Maybe they don\u2019t care. I don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n He added, \u201cI mean, I look at it as a business decision, you know? I\u2019m here just to make cool movies, cool TV. I\u2019m here to make cool stuff. I\u2019m the court jester, you know?
