Live will physically host the Oscars from 2029 through 2039. The ceremony will be held in a venue currently known as Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, next door to Crypto.com Arena and the L.A. Convention Center.<\/p>\n The move marks a turn away from Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre<\/a>, which is located on Hollywood Boulevard and has hosted the Academy Awards since 2001. According to a press release, the awards show will continue to be held at the Dolby Theatre and televised on ABC through the 100th Oscars ceremony in 2028. The following year, the ceremony will be held in downtown L.A. and broadcast on YouTube for the first time.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are thrilled to partner with a global powerhouse like AEG. Live on Feb. 9, 2024 The Academy previously announced its new partnership with YouTube, which runs between 2029 and 2033, in December 2025.
