In a press statement, Rodriguez described flying to Norway after her house burned down. \u201cIt felt jarring and lonely,\u201d she shared, \u201cnot exactly the comfort I was hoping for, but one afternoon I made a little voice memo while playing a piano mumbling the phrase\u2026.I wanna build a dream for you. That\u2019s when this whole thing kind of started. Like a little spark. Someone said a phoenix isn\u2019t born it\u2019s remembered and in making this I remembered why I make music.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rodriguez\u2019s latest album, For Your Consideration<\/em><\/a>, came out in 2024. Last year, she shared the one-off single \u201cBlasting Through the Speakers<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n
