Christina Aguilera<\/a> is giving a rare glimpse into her life as a mom of two.<\/p>\n On Thursday, March 26, the “Hurt” singer, 45, shared a recap of her recent family visit to Costa Rica’s La Paz Waterfall Gardens & Wildlife Refuge. In the clip, which was set to QUITAPENAS’ track “Jaguar,” Aguilera showed various clips of herself, fianc\u00e9 Matthew Rutler<\/a> and their daughter Summer<\/a>, 11, enjoying nature and spending quality time together.<\/p>\n “\ud83d\udccdLa Paz Waterfall Gardens & Wildlife Refuge \u2026 thank you for the wonderful tour and the breath of fresh air \u2601\ufe0f\ud83e\ude75\ud83e\udd8b pura vida xxx” she wrote in the caption.<\/p>\n In addition to her daughter Summer, the “Genie in a Bottle” singer is also a mom to son Max, whom she welcomed with ex-husband Jordan Bratman. After welcoming Summer in August 2014, Aguilera opened up to PEOPLE about the challenges of being a working mother and called her children “the center of my universe.”<\/p>\n “It’s definitely not easy juggling work and motherhood, as being a parent is a full-time job within itself,” she said. “You just have to make it work for you. My life has so many different moving parts, but my kids are the center focal piece, and everything else shifts around them.”<\/p>\n Despite the difficulty of trying to find the right work-and-home-life balance, Aguilera always comes back to prioritizing her children’s comfort<\/a> above all else. “It’s definitely not easy. I will openly say that,” she told PEOPLE in May 2019. “The key is truly making sure that they always feel safe and always feel connected.”<\/p>\n Back in December 2025, during a preview clip for her appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show<\/em>, the \u201cBeautiful\u201d singer opened up about her two kids<\/a>. When host Jennifer Hudson<\/a> asked Aguilera how she earns \u201ccool mom points\u201d with her son, she admitted it was \u201ctough.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s tough with kids in general,\u201d she said, \u201cThey will call you out for anything and everything. And I\u2019m like, \u2018I\u2019ve lived through some things, too!\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n \u201cFor sure they keep you humbled, but you do learn through their eyes also and [motherhood] teaches you patience, too,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n
