Meghan Markle<\/a> reportedly used \u201cfaux-royal tours\u201d to accuse the Royal Family of being racist<\/a>, it has been claimed. In his new book Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family, author Tom Bower has made a number of claims about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This includes claims from when the couple were working royals, and claims about their behaviour since they walked away from royal life in 2020. While Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, have already publicly slammed the book,<\/a> this has not stopped Bower\u2019s claims making headlines.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This includes the claim that Meghan Markle<\/a> has used \u201cfaux-royal tours\u201d to accuse the Royal Family of being \u201cracist\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The author claimed that the pair believed Nigeria was \u201cthe perfect battleground on which to weaponise a portrayal of the Royal Family as racist\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He claimed that “over a dinner conversation in the military\u2019s headquarters, Meghan told her story of two senior royals asking Harry while she was pregnant what colour the unborn child would be”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The late Queen Elizabeth II also made a statement after Meghan made these claims to Oprah, stating: \u201cThe issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWhile some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It is believed Harry and Meghan are unhappy about Bower\u2019s new book, with their spokesperson having released a statement earlier this month which read: \u201cMr Bower\u2019s commentary has long crossed the line from criticism into fixation. This is someone who has publicly stated, \u2018the monarchy in fact depends on actually obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life,\u2019 language that speaks for itself.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
