Us Weekly<\/em> understands that Spears, 44, has been sober since her DUI arrest, which occurred three weeks ago. The pop star is also attending AA meetings.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly <\/em>has reached out to Spears\u2019 rep for comment.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Spears was arrested<\/a> in Ventura County, California, \u201con suspicion of driving under the influence of a combination of alcohol and drugs,\u201d per a press release from the California Highway Patrol. She was taken into custody late in the evening on March 4 and sent to a hospital to test her blood alcohol content. The singer was subsequently booked and released the following morning.<\/p>\n

Spears, 44, was arrested near her home in Ventura County, California, on Wednesday, March 4, at 9:28 p.m., according to [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThis was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable,\u201d Spears\u2019 rep told Us<\/em> at the time. \u201cBritney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law, and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney\u2019s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n
