Black Label Society<\/a> have released \u201cOzzy\u2019s Song\u201d as part of the band\u2019s new album, Engines of Demolition<\/em>, which is out today. The track was written penned by frontman Zakk Wylde<\/a> in honor of his late friend Ozzy Osbourne<\/a>.<\/p>\n Wylde was a member of Ozzy\u2019s solo band for multiple stints, including the most recent lineup. He recorded six studio albums with Ozzy, including the iconic No More Tears<\/em> and the final Ozzy solo album, Patient Number 9<\/em>.<\/p>\n Get Black Label Society Tickets Here<\/a><\/p>\n The guitarist wrote part of the song using \u201cThe Grail,\u201d a Les Paul guitar that he used in his first writing sessions with Ozzy Osbourne roughly 40 years ago.<\/p>\n Wylde told Guitar World<\/em><\/a>, \u201cI wrote the music before Oz passed away. But after Oz passed away, when we went back to England and we laid Ozzy to rest, when I got right from that, I went straight to Pantera celebrations with Phil, Rex\u00a0, and Charlie. And then when I got done, when we got done with the Pantera celebration run, when I got home, I was just sitting in the house and [this] is when I wrote the lyrics and just sang the song. I was just thinking about Oz, and then I just wrote the lyrics.\u201d<\/p>\n Related Video<\/p>\n A special live peformance of the song, as well as its music video, will premiere tonight, March 27th, at 10 p.m. ET via Veeps<\/a>.
