James Van Der Beek\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> widow Kimberly Van Der Beek<\/strong><\/a> is continuing to remember her late husband as she celebrates family milestones.<\/p>\n

Taking to her Instagram Stories<\/a> on Thursday, March, 26, Kimberly, 44, marked their daughter Emilia\u2019s 10th birthday with a touching post.<\/p>\n

The photo showed the Dawson\u2019s Creek<\/em> star cozying up to his daughter. (As well as Emilia, James and Kimberly also shared<\/a> daughters Olivia, 15, Annabel, 12, and Gwendolyn, 7, and sons Joshua, 13, and Jeremiah, 4.)<\/p>\n

\u201cJust a few heavenly months ago. Missing you my love,\u201d Kimberly wrote over the image.<\/p>\n

And I\u2019m missing you tremendously,\u201d Kimberly began via her Instagram Story on Sunday, March 8, alongside a photo of her and James. Kimberly then shared a [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Varsity Blues<\/em> star died<\/a> on February 11 after battling stage III colorectal cancer. He was 48.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur beloved James David Van Der Beek passed peacefully this morning. He met his final days with courage, faith, and grace,\u201d said a statement posted via his Instagram account at the time. \u201cThere is much to share regarding his wishes, love for humanity and the sacredness of time. Those days will come. For now we ask for peaceful privacy as we grieve our loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor first publicly announced his cancer diagnosis in November 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been privately dealing with this diagnosis and have been taking steps to resolve it, with the support of my incredible family,\u201d he told People<\/em> at the time. \u201cThere\u2019s reason for optimism, and I\u2019m feeling good.\u201d<\/p>\n

To mark what would have been James\u2019 49th birthday on March 8, Emilia appeared in a sweet video<\/a> on Kimberly\u2019s Instagram page.<\/p>\n
