It comes two years after Prince Harry<\/a> released his Polo documentary, which flopped in rankings and ratings. But a royal expert questioned whether the Sussex couple\u2019s new project will be a success. Veteran royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams noted the bad rankings of Polo, Harry\u2019s previous doc on Netlix, and claimed the new drama will follow a similar route.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Viewers were far from enthralled by the Netflix<\/a> doc Polo, which ranked a lowly 3,442 out of roughly 7,000 titles, drawing only around 500,000 views.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He told the Daily Express: \u201cWhen the Sussexes documentary on polo, in which they hardly appeared, flopped badly on Netflix<\/a>, this was predictable.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt was a boring look at an elitist sport. So far, polo has been unlucky for them. However, they are executive producing a drama series, with Dynasty writer Francesca Hu on board.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Fitzwilliams added: \u201cThe problem is that Harry isn\u2019t very bright and Meghan isn\u2019t very talented.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIf I were a viewer, I wouldn\u2019t bother to watch a rival to Rivals and, betting on the Sussexes, at the present time, doesn\u2019t seem like betting on a winner to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The new drama will reportedly be set in the \u201chigh-flying equestrian town\u201d of Wellington, Florida.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It will be co-produced by Archewell Productions and Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage\u2019s Fake Empire, as per Deadline<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Harry and Meghan\u2019s new project will be written by Francisca X. Hu, who will also serve as an exec-producer alongside the Sussex couple and and head of scripted content Tracy Ryerson, and Fake Empire\u2019s Schwartz and Savage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
