Actress Kristen Bell<\/a><\/strong>is fiercely private when it comes to her kids. And what parents could blame her? While she signed up for the celebrity life, her daughters didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n In a 2020 interview with Romper<\/a><\/em>, the actress explained her privacy policy, \u201cMy feeling is that I chose a career in the public eye. I chose to be quoted, I chose to have my picture taken. I don\u2019t know them yet. I don\u2019t know if they will want that. So I really don\u2019t have the right to choose for them.\u201d The superstar mommy also championed the \u201cNo Kids Policy,\u201d a campaign to stop aggressive paparazzi who harass the children of celebrities.<\/p>\n The Nobody Wants This<\/a><\/em> star usually keeps her kiddos out of the spotlight. But in a rare Instagram<\/a> shout-out, Bell shares a peek into her family\u2019s life. The mommy of two recently posted a cute carousel filled with pics and videos in celebration of her daughter, Lincoln Bell Shepard\u2019s<\/strong> (with hubby, actor Dax Shepard<\/a><\/strong>) 13th birthday<\/a>!<\/p>\n Of course, Bell made sure to keep as much private as possible. Instead of revealing her daughters\u2019 faces (you can also see Shepard and Bell\u2019s younger daughter, 11-year-old Delta<\/strong>, in the post), she only included shots of their backs and a few photos with their faces covered by hearts.<\/p>\n Along with the montage of adorable images, Bell wrote, \u201c13 years ago today we had our first baby girl! Getting to know her wit, compassion, and sense of adventure has brought us a kind of joy we didn\u2019t have a word for before we met her.\u201d She continued, \u201cShe reminds us every day that family is literally the best of it\u2014the real stuff. And also to never underestimate how good it feels to hold someone\u2019s hand.\u201d<\/p>\n Bell also opened up about parenting and what it means for her as a mother, \u201cParenting is, for me, both the hardest and best thing I\u2019ve ever done.
