Author Tina Brown, who also wrote Princess Diana\u2019s biography, wrote in her book, The Palace Papers: Inside the House of Windsor, the Truth and the Turmoil, that, according to a former royal aide, the brothers\u2019 relationship never returned to the same place after William married Catherine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
She wrote: \u201cThough they were still incredibly close, living next door to each other [at Kensington Palace], sharing the same office, and hanging out an awful lot, [Harry] mourned his us-against-the-world bond with William.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
She added: \u201cHarry felt displaced by their bougie family unit, and couldn\u2019t understand his brother\u2019s obsession with his Middleton in-laws, whose Bucklebury world bored Harry to tears.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Ms Brown claimed that in the Duke\u2019s eyes, the Waleses had become a \u201ctight unit\u201d, and his brother a \u201cfull-on Windsor country bumpkin\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
She further explained: \u201cOn weekends when he wasn\u2019t chez Middleton, he was tramping the grounds of Anmer Hall, the red-brick Georgian mansion on the Sandringham Estate that the Queen gave the couple as a wedding present, wearing a flat cap and tweed jacket like his ‘turnip toff’ Norfolk farmer friends.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She claimed William was \u201cless amused\u201d than the British public by Harry\u2019s \u201crecklessness\u201d which allegedly \u201cexasperated him\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
