Valerie Bertinelli<\/b><\/a><\/span> is getting candid about her body.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, if you read the book, you\u2019ll know that my boobs are deformed,\u201d Bertinelli, 65, said during a recent 92Y panel discussion<\/span><\/a>, promoting her Getting Naked: The Quiet Work of Becoming Perfectly Imperfect <\/i>memoir. \u201cI talk very extensively and graphically about how deformed they are.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cMy boobs suck, but I\u2019m not dating, so it doesn\u2019t matter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bertinelli explained that she had \u201cfour surgeries\u201d in 2024 to remove the breast implants<\/a> she initially got in the early 1980s.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tValerie Bertinelli got candid about the work she had done to enhance her appearance.. Bertinelli, 65, opened up about getting a breast augmentation and experimenting with Botox in her new book, Getting Naked: The Quiet Work of Becoming Perfectly Imperfect, which was released on Tuesday, March 10. In 2019, she \u201ctried Botox\u201d for the first [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cMine were mocked relentlessly. They were called \u2018little quarters,\u2019 \u2018itty-bitty titties,\u2019 and \u2018tiny boobies,\u201d the actress wrote in her book<\/span><\/a> about her decision to go under the knife. \u201cI took it all to heart. Instead of appreciating the changes my body was going through, I dreaded them. I had no idea what I was supposed to look like; I only knew it was wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bertinelli\u2019s implants eventually ruptured, which she subsequently needed to have removed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t believe they had been in my body. I went home bandaged and sore, with drains under my arms, uncomfortable but hopeful,\u201d she recalled in a book passage. \u201cFor the first two weeks, everything was great. About a week later, my right breast took on shades of green, yellow, and blue. The next day it started to swell and turned a dark purple. I felt myself getting dizzy. By nighttime, I was running a fever.\u201d<\/p>\n

After developing an infection, Bertinelli had another surgery to install a \u201csmall implant under the muscle\u201d to help restore \u201cwhat was left of [her] nipple.\u201d She said it took nearly a year for her breasts to take \u201cshape.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are now two completely different sizes; the implant on the left is over the muscle, and my right side is sad and misshapen,\u201d she further wrote. \u201cEventually, I will have a fourth operation that will, I am assured, even things out once and for all.\u201d<\/p>\n
