Actor and host Nick Cannon has let his political views be known, calling the Democratic party \u201cthe party of the KKK.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
On Friday\u2019s episode of \u201cNick Cannon\u2019s Big Drive,\u201d<\/a> Cannon spoke to guest model Amber Rose about her switch to the Republican party. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Rose said she was a \u201cliberal Democrat\u201d her whole life but has recently moved away from that party.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cDemocrats<\/a> don\u2019t care about Black people,\u201d Rose said. \u201cAnd they don\u2019t care about people of color, and the Republicans<\/a> do and that\u2019s the misconception.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Cannon said he agreed with her \u201c100%.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cPeople don\u2019t know that the Democrats is the party of the KKK,\u201d Cannon said. \u201cPeople don\u2019t know that the Republicans are the party that freed the slaves.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Yes, Republicans were the party behind freeing the slaves in the 1860s, but that Republican party looks nothing like President Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s Republican party. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Cannon said he doesn\u2019t subscribe to either party. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Rose agreed, saying she voted for Trump because there were only two options, and he was \u201cdefinitely by far the better option.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Cannon agreed, saying, \u201cI fuck with Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n At the Republican National Convention in July 2024, Rose gave a speech<\/a>, voicing her support for Trump, saying \u201cthe media has lied to us\u201d about Trump.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI realized Donald Trump and his supporters don\u2019t care if you\u2019re Black, white, gay or straight. It\u2019s all love,\u201d Rose said at the convention. \u201cAnd that\u2019s when it hit me: These are my people. This is where I belong.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n During Friday\u2019s episode of \u201cNick Cannon\u2019s Big Drive,\u201d Rose said speaking at the Republican National Convention was a career highlight for her. She said Trump called her personally to ask her to speak at the convention.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Rose\u2019s speech was a far cry from her comments in 2016, when she told The Cut<\/a> that Trump was a \u201cfucking idiot,\u201d adding, \u201cI really hope he\u2019s not president.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
