Olivia Munn<\/strong><\/a> is sharing the darkest parts of her cancer journey<\/a>, revealing how her husband John Mulaney<\/strong><\/a> helped her face the \u201cpossibility of death.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no better person in the world to me than my husband,\u201d Munn, 45, said during a Sunday, March 29, appearance on CBS News Sunday Morning<\/em>. \u201cHe is \u2014 I mean, you\u2019ve met him. He wanted to come to every single doctor\u2019s appointment.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Newsroom<\/em> star explained that when she was \u201cfaced with the possibility of death and not being here,\u201d her husband would lighten the load \u2014 both physically and emotionally. (The pair, who said \u201cI do\u201d in July 2024, share two kids, Malcolm and M\u00e9i.)<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s got his notebook that he writes all of his ideas for jokes and anything that comes to him through the day,\u201d she said. \u201cYou know, having the humor to go through it and having someone who is so funny, it really \u2014 it just lightens everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tOlivia Munn is getting candid about her health struggles after being diagnosed with breast cancer last year. \u201cHaving a little baby at home made everything much more terrifying. It makes you realize, cancer does not care who you are,\u201d Munn, 43, shared in her People cover story published on Wednesday, April 17, referencing 2-year-old son, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In March 2024, Mulaney revealed she had been diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn February of 2023, in an effort to be proactive about my health, I took a genetic test that checks you for 90 different cancer genes,\u201d Munn wrote via Instagram at the time. \u201cI tested negative for all, including BRCA (the most well-known cancer gene). My sister Sara [Potts] had just tested negative as well. We called each other and high-fived over the phone. That same winter I also had a normal mammogram.\u201d<\/p>\n
